Reciprocity Cup: Tournament Info

Background

The Reciprocity Perpetual Cup was established in 2022 through the Reciprocity Agreement between Club Náutico de San Juan and Club Náutico de Santo Domingo. Its purpose is to strengthen the relationship among Caribbean sportfishing organizations by encouraging participation in each other’s premier Atlantic Blue Marlin tournaments.

In 2024, the participating organizations unanimously agreed to invite the North Drop Open, an annual Atlantic Blue Marlin tournament held in the British Virgin Islands, to become part of the competition.

The Reciprocity Perpetual Cup seeks to foster the continued growth and development of premier Atlantic Blue Marlin tournaments throughout the Caribbean while providing a framework for welcoming additional clubs, tournaments, and organizations in future years.

Guiding Principle

The Reciprocity Perpetual Cup recognizes the most consistent Atlantic Blue Marlin Team across the participating tournaments during each Cup Season while promoting sportsmanship, conservation, camaraderie, and reciprocal participation among the participating organizations.

The Cup celebrates excellence over an entire season while fully respecting the rules, traditions, and integrity of each individual tournament.
